A brief collection of sketches that hardly exist
Updated Storenvy with some new notecards
I also got a new camera I’m very happy with, so expect photos and new art soon.
Ink pieces added to storenvy!
A bit of news first:
I’ve recently been accepted into a Japanese study program, and will be living in Japan from October – December of this year. It is, without a doubt, a dream come true.
So that leads me to the next bit.
I’m currently selling one of a kind watercolor notecards over at my Storenvy shop for $4.00/ea to raise some money for my trip.
I hope to eventually add reasonably priced small ink drawings in addition to the notecards.
Please take a look! More notecards soon to come!
I’m also open for commissions at this time, so if there’s anything you want- a specific color scheme in watercolor on a notecard, or perhaps a piece from my Flickr gallery, or even something you dreamed up, let me know and I’d be happy to work something out.
Born from a couple sketches. Tried a tea-stain instead of inkwash, but the result was possibly too bright for the collection. Going into coloring, I had no idea what I wanted from the piece, so this isn’t a bad result, I’m just rather indifferent towards it.
But in my push to complete larger, non-sketchbook pieces, it’s a good addition.
Not much else new on the art front lately. Since realizing I wanted (needed) to redo page one, I’ve been a little burnt out on Abyss related things. When that happens (as it often does) it’s a good time to just farm information, so I’ve been doing a lot of reading, growing my inspiration folder, and sketching basic anatomy and facial expressions. It’s not much, but it helps. January seems useless for much else.
